3M is seeking a Global Wind Energy Key Account Manager for the Fall Protection Business located remotely in the US. At 3M, you can apply your talents in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.
Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Global Wind Energy Key Account Manager for the Fall Protection Business within the Personal Safety Division, will serve as a business manager for the assigned global key accounts; GE, Vestas, SIEMENS/Gamesa, and others as assigned.
The Wind Energy BDM will lead the development and execution of key account strategies; managing and delivering key account sales and growth targets; building, maintaining and strengthening worldwide customer relationships; and maintaining/gaining end-user specification for the Fall Protection product range.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Develops and executes key account strategic and operating plans.
Identifies key contacts within the respective key accounts, and develops and maintains such relationships.
Established and manages a relationship plan at all levels of the key account and Fall Protection business/PSD, and across key functions.
Leads and works with cross functional team to create values & provide solutions to support key account growth and to meet/exceed sales targets.
Works to gain specification / product technical acceptance at all required levels and all end-customer operating regions to include headquarters.
Manages Key Account P/L to annual operating targets.
Understands key accounts' operating model, decision making process, organizational structure, and site footprint.
Drives customer intimacy as measured against customer Key Performance Indicators.
Leads and participates in customer management of change and NPI projects.
Develops monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and communicates these to the Fall Protection organization.
Negotiates and manages global contracts & pricing; maintains global price consistency.
Provides market/ industry updates and voice of customer to the Fall Protection BU.
Leads effective communication internally and externally to expeditiously address issues and delight the customer.
Basic Qualifications
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Minimum of five (5) years of key account management or relevant sales experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited university
Global key account management experience
Experience collaborating with and leading global and or cross functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Energized by fast paced challenging work environment
Positive attitude & strong work ethic
Location: USA Remote location within proximity to a major airport; Pacific NW, Colorado, or TX locations preferred
Travel: May include up to 75% domestic/international
Relocation: Is NOT authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
