Technical Sales Manager, SB Foot Tanning

Job Description Red Wing Shoe Company is looking for a Technical Sales Manager for our SB Foot Tanning business. The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for the development and execution of sales strategies and activities to drive leather business growth, including customer relationship management, sales process management, leather pricing, sales forecasting, financial performance, and sales distributionchannels. This role will also be responsible for collaborating with Product Development, Manufacturing and Quality teams to develop, produce and market leather and leather products that meet customer needs and quality and cost expectations. Qualifications Qualified candidates must have bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7-10 years of technical sales experience: or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA a plus, experience in the leather industry is preferred. Candidates should have demonstrated successful experience developing sales strategies and plans for technical products and implementing them through specific tactical activities. Candidates should be knowledgeable in or have the ability to learn technical aspects involved with producing leather and assisting technical personnel produce leather that satisfies customer requirements.  Qualified candidates will be results oriented and performance driven to achieve organizational and individual goals; Customer focused with proven skills prospecting, developing opportunities, closing new business, and growing existing accounts; Have an analytical mindset for solving problems, forecasting, budgeting, expense management, profitability and loss, selling, and territory analysis; Strong influencing, collaboration and relationship management skills, including the ability to effectively work with and communicate with multi-functional groups to drive strategic objectives; Effective communication skills including presentation, written, and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences; Tactical execution skills including managing competing priorities effectively, organization and time management; Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. This position will travel approximately 50% of the time, including internationally, and must have an active U.S. passport or the ability to acquire one within 3 months. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
