Embroidery Operator - Weekend Night Shift

In Red Wing, our Embroidery Operators set up, adjust, and operate embroidery machines and prepare items processed for the next routing step. Ensure that only products meeting company standards are packaged to ship to our customers. Must be able to read and understand work instructions, perform basic math functions, and make adjustments and/or minor repairs to equipment. During our busy periods, overtime is frequently required. You must accept the requirement to work overtime as a condition of employment.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and adjusts machines and stitching items for proper operation
  • Changes thread to follow order specifications
  • Examines product for manufacturer defects, position of design, stitch clarity, color accuracy or other flaws and adjusts equipment accordingly if needed
  • Ensures that the proper supplies (both bill of Material and non-Bill of Material items) are being used for stitching
  • Reads and follows Manufacturing Orders to make sure orders are stitched according to specifications (quality, accuracy and layout)
  • Monitors automated systems for maximum output
  • May package product for shipping, making sure proper box size and packing procedures are followed and ensuring that only products meeting quality standards are packed to ship to our customers
  • Completes DCT reporting and necessary daily paperwork as instructed, including production log of quantity produced, scrap and related information
  • Performs preventive maintenance duties, such as replacing broken needles and hoop change adjustments, daily cleaning and lubricating.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with other associates
  • Maintains a clean and neat work area

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to read/write and understand English
  • Must have a commitment to safety
  • Be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Be able to work OT as required, ensuring we meet our customer commitment is crucial for success

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
