Graphic Tech - 2nd Shift

The Graphic Technician prints jobs on output devices, spectra, vinyl panels, and labels. This position requires a two-year graphic art degree, or equivalent experience with working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. Excellent customer focus with a good eye for detail, color and accuracy, as well as a sense of urgency in completing artwork and moving orders to the next step in production required. This position requires a reliable and conscientious team player.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
? Develops and maintains knowledge of all output devices (Xerox printer, Mimaki's, vinyl printers, label die cutter, Roland printers, and vinyl panel printers etc.) and ensures their upkeep including cleaning, calibration and maintenance
? Uses Wilcom software to digitize the artwork for embroidery. Creates a proof of the digitized artwork on the single-head Inbro embroidery machine
? UV coats products as required by production and cleans and maintains the UV coater.
? Completes production driven rework (machine changes, printing problems not related to art setup). Has a complete understanding of all production processes and their requirements
? Assist in researching new software options as they become available. Tests and evaluates new software
? Troubleshoots and fixes problematic orders (stepping problems, files that will not print)
? Organizes orders for efficient workflow and meets production standards for the quality and quantity of work produced
? Monitors inventory of required materials and orders supplies as needed. Requests inventory supplies for labels and paper from warehouse as necessary. Accurately records all scrap.
? Consults reference manuals, initiates technical support calls and provides follow-up reports on problems encountered and solutions found.
? Calibrates monitors and printers and optimizes drives
? Maintains effective working relationships with other associates
? Actively participates in and supports teamwork and continuous process improvement.
? Demonstrates flexibility and commitment through cross training and helping other departments consistent with business needs
Minimum Qualifications Include:
? Must be at least 18 years old
? Two year Graphic Art degree or equivalent experience with working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
? Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
? Must be able to read/write and understand English
? Must have a commitment to safety
? Be able to work OT as required, ensuring we meet our customer commitment is crucial for success

Preferred Qualifications include:
? Previous technical printing experience
? Experience in a manufacturing setting

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
