Marketing Director

SUMMARY: Responsible for the development, implementation and management of the overall advertising and marketing strategy for Treasure Island Resort & Casino, consistent with the organizational objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and provide strategic direction to staff in carrying out Advertising, Entertainment, Player Development, Promotions and Public Relations functions
- Develop and execute short and long range advertising and marketing plans to enhance the opportunity for market share and profit growth
- Adhere to budget guidelines at all times
- Plan, oversee and analyze the organization?s advertising including: print, electronic and direct mail outlets to support sales and profit objectives
- Develop a strong brand image and communicate consistently through all marketing channels
- Oversee all marketing communication activities including press releases, direct marketing mediums and other message environments to ensure quality, efficiency and effectiveness
- Research, analyze and monitor industry trends, competitive set, financial, technological and demographic factors to capitalize on marketing opportunities and stay competitive in the industry
- Initiate, develop and coordinate effective advertising and promotion programs, utilizing all media to publicize the organization?s products and services
- Establish and monitor annual advertising strategy in conjunction with Hospitality for Hotel, Retail, Catering, Group Tours and other amenities such as Spirit of the Water, Mt. Frontenac Golf Course and Bowling Center.
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor?s degree in Business or Marketing and five (5) years of comparable management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Five (5) years experience directing a professional marketing or advertising department required.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) required.
- Proven communication and organizational skills required.
- Proven success in areas such as advertising, budgeting, financial planning, strategic planning, profitability, productivity, and concept of development required.
- Must have proven ability to identify qualified personnel and provide leadership to develop and direct staff maximizing performance.
- Previous experience in hospitality and entertainment industries required
- Previous casino management experience preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
