Contract to Hire/Direct Hire
$90-100k and 10% bonus opportunity
The Quality Assurance Manager's role is to lead a team of QA analysts to develop, establish, and enforce quality assurance standards and measures for Business Technologies. Leading a team of QA Analysts, this individual will guide the development of test plans, process improvements, and further advance the use of automated testing. The QA Manager will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this position is self-directed, organized, has great communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Planning
o Lead the development, establishment, and enforcement of quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.
o Ensure that software quality measures comply with regulatory standards, industry standards, and accepted best practices.
o Create methodologies and processes for the collection and analysis of data for ensuring software, systems, and product quality.
o Direct the analysis of formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
o Direct the analysis of documentation and technical specifications for any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
o Guide QA Analysts to develop QC strategies specific to project and technical requirements, translate into plans, and oversee execution
o Identify tools and methods which will increase efficiencies
o Influence partners and project team members around best practices which will increase the quality of the technical solutions, drive innovation and efficiencies in quality assurance delivery
o Lead the advancement of automated testing.
Operational Management
o Guide QA Analysts to develop and write test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems.
o Develop and manage User Acceptance Testing methods and plans
o Manage test environments including test data (refresh strategies) and schedules to achieve test plans; continue to improve release management methodologies and processes for test environments
o Accountable for coordination of testing activities and sign-offs during deployment (i.e. cut-over) nights
o Develop and apply established metrics to determine the readiness, quality, and operability of software, systems, and products due for release to clients and/or within the enterprise.
o Create and communicate test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications; revise as needed.
o Coordinate testing of new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
o Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to Project Managers and Product Managers as part of their overall exec communications plans
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Manage all members of the quality assurance team, and ensure that deadlines are met.
o Train, coach, and mentor QA staff and other junior staff members.
o Plan and conduct performance appraisals of QA staff, administer disciplinary action, raises, bonuses, and promotions when necessary.
o Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices.
o Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance, and corresponding documentation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
